WEEK 10

Hello!!! I am Marina De Vicente and this week I am the facilitator of the task.

Well doneeeee Alicia and well doneee Chalkies! This week the task has been very interested and I like how the star,  who is Alicia, do it, each week we improve contoling our nerves and this is good for preparing our exam.

The task of this week as the other was very interesting because as future teacher and as future worker we have to know what kind of personality was the correct to teach and also to direct a school.

First we read all the information and later we choose the better option for us who was the participative. I think that the content of our task was amazing but ones I see the job of the other classmates I think that we must have improved the decoration of the presentation, this time we only do banners so next time we are going to take into account this.

However I am very happy with this task I learn too much and I am very nervious of preparing the next and last task .COME ON CHALKIES ONLY ONE WE CAN!!!!

FACILITATOR: LAST WEEK

Hi again bloggers! It's Elena Gonzalez and in this last task I have been the facilitator of the Chalkies.

Is there anything better than finishing this subject being the boss of the group? I think no. Why? Well, first of all I am a bit stubborn and I prefear to be the leader than being leaded. Moreover, as this was our last task I wanted everything to be perfect.

We are characterized for finishing the tasks at atypical hours (midnight), but this time we organized ourself so that it wouldn't happen again.
On Monday we were told what we had to do: a connection map among 2 new texts ("Estructuras para el trabajo y la coordinación de los profesores en los centros" by Mª Teresa González González and "Los centros educativos como organizaciones que aprenden: una mirada crítica by Antonio Bolívar")   and the chapters about complexity and connections.
As each one of us had specialized on one chapter about complexity and connections on the previous task, each of us read the new documents and looked for relationships with her chapter.

We decided to meet that evening in order to advance, to put in common all the connections that we had found and to try to start making the connection map and, surprisingly,  we finished the task that evening. In order to encourage them I bought sunflower seeds (something that we really like) and some biscuits.
I think that finally we have learned to better organize ourselves.

The exposition of our stars was quite great, so I am proud of my team and of my work as facilitator. I have loved working with this amazing group.

I hope you have liked ours posts during this months and I'll try to keep on blogging.
I'll miss you! Elena :)

FACILITATOR WEEK 9

Hi everyone! This week I have been the facilitator not only of my group but also of the others with the rest of facilitators. It has been a difficult week due to the fact that we had to do a big big task. We had to create a twenty minutes video together, all the class. However, with the help of the other facilitators and the rest of the class we have done a great work. We knew how to coordinate the groups, we divided the people among groups and we started working really hard to get the final result that it will be shown on Monday. We are looking forward to it! We hope that everyone appreciates the results and that our teacher likes the video !

FACILITATOR WEEK 8

Hello bloggers! It's Marina García. This week I've been working as facilitator again, but this time was a bit different. Pay attention; this time I've been a kind of chief from a newspaper, and  I had also to direct a news programme section. Maybe you're a bit confused... but I'm sure that the journalist chalkie has explained it perfectly!

In this eighth activity, I belong to the chief's group, that was formed by the previous stars. I am so pleased to have worked with other mates who don't belong to the Chalkies' group. It's been a great experience, especially because we all have compenetrated ourselves and we have worked together as better as we could. Therefore, in my view, we've done a perfect job! I am sure you'll enjoy  and learn a lot from our video.

I will explain my current job briefly:

On Monday I chose some actors in order to do my piece of new and I gave them the script that my helpers and I created last week.
My selection was:

1. Eduardo Gálvez  as a reporter (due to his funny and easy way of connecting with people).
2. Elena Gónzalez as an interviewed (because of her excellent English).
3. Alicia de Prado as an interviewed (due to her nice interpretation, since he pretended to be a man)
4. Marina de Vicente as camara (because of her exprience with photography)

They really made a good job, congratulations guys!

I can't forget to tell you about my helper Ester, who was with me in every moment, and who helped me to decide the best recording option. Thank you Ester!

On wednesday it was time to record. Everyone brought the materials, and everything was developed as I wanted (just after a few shots).

In conclusion, I 've really enjoyed this experience of a whole group activity. Look forward to more innovations!

PS: THE NEWS PROGRAMME WILL BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, YOU MUST WATCH IT!

FACILITATOR WEEK 7

Hi bloggers! I'm Elena González and this week my role has been to be the facilitator.
When we arrived to class on Monday we knew that we had to organice ourselves better than the previous week, because we only met on Tuesday and we needed more time. After knowing the new activity for this week, it was my turn to divide the task among us. Once all of us knew what we had to do, it was time to work!
Fortunately, we didn't have the necessity to meet for doing the task, as we have been doing the previous weeks. So we stablished a dead line to do our part and to upload it to umubox so our stars could read and study them. However, as we didn't meet I couldn't buy them any candy o sweet to motivate them while working, but I cheered them up by Whatsapp as a good facilitator.
I think that this week the organization has been quite better and everyone of us have done a good job, I hope we continue working hard and improving each week.

FACILITATOR WEEK 6

It's Marina García and this week I've been the facilitator of the Chalkies. It's time to lead the group!

Easter holiday are over, so we are back again... and I've returned quite strongly. I was pleased and totally prepared to assume this role.

My girls were quite relaxed because of their  holiday, therefore it was my responsabilty to trasmit them as much energy as I could in order to start working as hard as we usually do. To encourage them I  brought  them candies and milkshakes and I also sent them some funny messages to remind them how important is to work together and, of course, with positive vibes. Why positive vibes? Because the last tasks we did before Easter were a little mess. We were such as saturated, we have had a lot of works and everything was stressful. So I tried to change that negative atmosphere.

Let's talk about the current task: SUMMARIZING #SOyER1516 's contents until now in a animated video.
Every member said that this was an easy task and I agreed, so we weren't as worried as we had been in other weeks, but we needed a perfect organization in order to work properly and not have any problems.

I said that the best option would be to organised every iformation about the subject on the first day (Monday), and my mates agreed, so we started working. Each member should look for important content about previous tasks, classifying them into: pedagogical, technological o content information (according to TPACK)

Afterwards, it was time to make the video (Tuesday). I though that creating a video in a single afternoon was enough. Unfortunately, I was wrong. We were using a video maker (which is called "Moovly") that we had never used, so we were too slow, discovering every detail that this online programme has. We spent so many hours creating this video. We met at the beginning of the afternoon and we finished at night. So, it was a fault on my organization.

However, the result was great! We were happy with our work and also the rest of the student were, since on Wednesday we voted for the best video and WE WERE THE THIRD ONES! Of course, it could be much better, but, personally, I think that a third position is a nice one.

This week we got the bronze medal, but next week we will look for the gold one!

CHEER UP, CHALKIES!

FACILITATOR WEEK 5

Hello guys! This week the Facilitator has been me, Alicia de Prado.

Well, first of all, I recommend you to...

KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM TEXTBOOKS!

Now, with that clear, let's see how The Chalkies have worked this week. I am pretty glad of how has going the work, we did all things on time and we were very well distributed. During the task, I was ensuring that everything was going well: reminding the girls to keep every resource they found for the curator; distributing each porpuse of the task; and so on (always listening to their ideas and their help). I have been also in charge of keeping social nets as Twitter alive during the week.

Everything was okay because we all agreed on doing things in the same way, and we went straight to the task immediately. We are happy with the results we have obtained, our Infographic was well made and the ideas were fine.

Let's keep on this dynamic Chalkies, now have some rest this holidays!
We will be back with more but not better, because it's impossible, here with The Chalkies ;) (...just kidding, improving is our motto!)

FACILITATOR WEEK 2

FACILIATOR

Hello everyone, I am Alicia Gomis and this week I am the facilitator of the group, so as the name indicates my work is to facilitate and organize the work of the rest of members in my group.
I do work organization depending on the role that the other members have, and roles are:

-Journalist: Alicia de Prado
-Analyst: Elena González
-Translator: Sole Soriano
-Curator: Marina de Vicente
-Star 1: Isabel Ramírez de Arellano
-Star 2: Marina García

First of all I have to say that my role this week hasn't been easy because on Monday Linda gave us our task "Map Projections" and we felt really confused about what we had to do.
In the first practical session we decided the roles and we started reading the task. Once we had got it, I decided what was the work that each one had to take the next day to the meeting, and thus began the discussions because we didn't agree to the place to meet. It seems silly, but the work that day was a little uncomfortable due to the discussion.
We finally decided to meet in La Merced, and I as the facilitator, took them some candies to make them happy and improve their work.
Fortunately, discussions disappeared and we started doing the presentation like we know, without wasting time.
It has been a pleasure being the facilitator this week because it is easy to organize and facilitate the work to someone who knows what to do in each moment.
Well done girls!!! We can!!!

FACILITATOR WEEK 1

FACILITATOR( WEEK 1 ):
Hi guys,I am Marina De Vicente Sánchez, the facilitator, my work is to facilitate and organize the work of the  group.
Thia is the first week and as usual we are very nervous, we started without knowing very well the roles of each one, but at the end we have informed well and everything worked was great.

The roles of this week of each person are:

-Journalist: Isabel Ramírez de Arellano-Analyst: Alicia De Prao
-Translator: Alicia Gomis
-Curator: Marina García
-Star 1: Sole Soriano

To be the first time I am very happy with the results I think we make a good team and that we can do so many better, but to be the first to come out great.

FACILITATOR WEEK 4

Hi Guys!

I am Isabel Ramírez de Arellano Sevilla and this week I have been the facilitator of my group. This days, we have been through lots of things and feelings.

Chalkies were nervous this week,  because we couldn't fail this time in our presentation. It was the second time we were going to do the presentation of a topic for primary education and especially the stars were nervous, but they did know how to keep calm and how to do, finally, the best presentation they could ever done. I am happy with our work although there are many things to improve that we will do each day but I think my group has worked a lot this week to get a better mark and improve the presentation of last week and for me,we have succeeded.  At first, we are a bit disorganized because we are seven people and it is difficult to start working in one thing, so it is good to have one person that organize the work and divide it among the members of a group.

We have many things to improve each week like being more organized, more sure about what we do but the most important thing, we have to trust in ourselves because this week I have seen that if we want, this group would be a real number one in this class. We won't give up!

Finally, on Wednesday we had to work in different groups: all facilitators together, all journalists together... It was a great experience to work with people who were not from your group. All facilitators get along well and we did a video showing eight tips to be the best facilitator. Do you want to see it? Here you have it!

FACILITATOR WEEK 3

Hi guys!
I am Soledad Soriano Arnao and this week I have been the facilitator of my group . First of all, on Monday I distibuted the roles :
Sole: Facilitator
Isabel:Translator
Marina. G:Analyst
Marina DV:Second star
Elena:Journalist
Alicia DP:Star
Alicia G: Curator

First of all, we read the task´ instructions very well .After that, I distributed the links which our teacher has shared with us about a good presentation and Creative Common Lycence and I ordered them to investigate in these web pages .Moreover, we decided that our topic will be the universe:planets and solar sistem.
On Monday afternoon , we  met in my house  ,we exposed each other the information that  we have got of the web pages . Secondly, I distributed my girls in pairs to do different activties. Marina and Alicia, the starts, started to collect some info about the topic. Alicia and Elena looked for information about creative commons and Isabel and me started the power point of how to do a good presentation.Additionally, I made a chocolate biscuit to motivate them. Although of our hard work, I think that on Monday everybody was doing what they wanted not what I have commanded.
On Tuesday afternoon , we did the power point about the universe, a mock-up about planets and our starts practised  two or three times.
I was proud of my work since Wednesday arrived ...After the expositions Linda told us that facilitators have failed this time. I thought that I have done my job  well , specially because I took my work personally but something has been wrong. I thought that it has been my fault but I knew that we had organized well during these days. I felt dissapointed because we received some hard but constructives critics. So, It was my turn … I had to think what has happened and I had to cheer up my starts. I think that the problem was that it´s very difficult for us to share the same opinions , so each of us want to do a thing… For example, one of us want to do the presentation more serious or some of us want to do more dynamic and so on… I thought that I had understood the task but the problem was that I didn´t know how to command them. For this reason, everybody did what they thought it was better. Other problem of mine has been that I distributed the work, so not all of us has participated in the power point of our topic. I think that If all of us had put their bit , we would have done a better job.
Despite of our mess job, our teacher has given us a second opportunity . She wants the best for us and she wants that we become proffesionals. For this reason, during this end of the week I will try to do my best and improve our job.
CHALKIES DON´T LOSE HOPE!

OUR MATES´EXPOSITIONS:
In our opinion ,generally most of us didn´t think in our students , we didn´t move around the class because the stars were behind the table , so they couldn´t connect  with us and we didn´t referenced the pictures with creative commons lycence. To sum up, the expositions can be better and we think that all of the class has misunderstood the task. WE DIDN´T THINK IN OUR STUDENTS!
-Frisky Hedhehogs(Colours): They missed time and they didn´t reference the pictures with creative commons lycence

-The Prickles ( Vertebrates): They didn´t look at spectators , they read the slides and they did a very theoretical lesson of vertebrates. They didn´t reference the pictures with creative commons lycence. To conclude , we think that it was such a serious presentation for children.

Due to these mistakes, we think that despite of being very difficult to choose the best and the worst job we believe that the best exposition could be the Frisky Hedhehogs´exposition. Although they had some mistakes, they did very entertained the lesson and they thought in their students. Moreover, they did a powerpoint without a lot of words and we think that they did a very good work.
On the other hand, we think that the worst exposition could be the vertebrates lesson (The Prickles ) . It was boring and we think that they didn´t think in their students and their slides couldn´t be read by students. Despite of that, we know that they will do better on Monday because they are very talented.
